Hoover Creek staff and friends would like to express our sympathy to the family of Lloyd Byrd, from Mansfield, Arkansas. Lloyd ended a long battle with cancer on July 13th, 2008. He was here hunting during spring turkey season, and endeared himself to all of us. He was truly one-of-a-kind, and our thoughts go out to his family in Arkansas. |
| Archery season is quickly approaching, starting on Sept. 15! Hoover Creek staff have been busy all summer planting crops and preparing food plots. Our trail cameras are up and running, so look for some featured bucks on our website through the next month. |

- Also turkey hunting this Spring was Nevin Koranda, who was able to harvest a nice bird for the second year in a row, accompanied on his hunt by Pro-Staffer Travis Hill. Travis had patterned the bird well, and the pair was able to cut the bird off on his way from roost to strutting area. Will he come back in '09 and try a for a hat trick?
